Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular Internal Cleaning
Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid using detergents, abrasive powders, or highly perfumed cleaning products as these can damage the surface and leave a strong smell.
External Cleaning
Wash the outer cabinet with warm soapy water. Ensure to dry thoroughly to maintain the appearance and functionality of the refrigerator.
Defrosting Maintenance
The refrigerator automatically defrosts every time the compressor stops. Regularly clean the water discharge hole in the centre of the V-shaped drip collector at the back of the refrigerator compartment behind the salad bins using the special cleaner provided.
Condenser and Compressor Cleaning
Once or twice a year, dust the condenser (black grill) and the compressor at the back of the appliance with a brush or vacuum cleaner to ensure optimal performance and prevent excessive electricity consumption.
Temperature Control
Adjust the thermostat control knob to achieve the correct temperature. Consider factors such as room temperature, frequency of door opening, and quantity of food stored to determine the appropriate setting. Allow 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize after making changes.
